Trace the upload. Find the earliest version you can. Reposts often strip away context.
Watch for continuity. Look for objects, hands, faces, reflections, text, shadows or backgrounds changing in impossible ways across frames.
Check the account. Does it disclose generated content? Does it post a stream of impossible clips with the same visual style?
Search for independent context. A real event may have other footage, reporting, witnesses or official information.
Separate AI from staging. Real footage can be staged or deceptively edited. “Not AI” does not automatically mean “true.”
Use the narrowest verdict. If evidence is incomplete, say Unverified rather than inventing certainty.
Don't use fake precision. A detector percentage may be one signal, but it is not a substitute for source tracing and evidence.
