SEASONAL GUIDE · OCTOBER

Is that pumpkin patch really as magical as the advert?

Some event posters use illustrations, stock photos or AI imagery. That is not automatically deceptive — but you should know what your ticket actually buys.

Before you book

  1. Check the location: independently confirm the venue and that it lists the event.
  2. Check the organiser: look for a named business and usable contact details.
  3. Look for real photos: search for dated visitor images of the same venue and season.
  4. Read the inclusions: are pumpkins, rides, parking, food and activities extra?
  5. Read the terms: check dates, weather cancellations and refunds.
  6. Pay carefully: use a protected payment method where possible; avoid transfers to unknown individuals.

What a suspicious poster does not prove

An image that looks AI-generated does not prove the attraction is fake. Nor do disappointed reviews alone prove a scam. Compare advertising claims with verifiable facts and seek the organiser's response.
